Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting management, including payroll management
- 4-6 years of experience in accounting and payroll fields
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Netsuite accounting software and ADP payroll systems
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the expense lifecycle, including general ledger entries, and accounts payable
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
- Manage cash flow and forecasting
- Oversee and execute accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports
- Manage year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
- Work with payroll software and systems
- Supervise and mentor accounting and accounts payable staff, providing guidance and support
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and finance
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
