Requirements
- Related university degree and ten‐plus years of experience OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience
- Proven ability to perform associated tasks, deliver results, and lead without direct authority
- Familiar with operational and maintenance practices
- Familiar with regional support and centralized functions
- Self-motivated, proven effective leadership and communication skills
- Relationship building skills with employees, peers, public officials, and internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the pipeline system is operated and maintained within a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and all government regulations
- Ensure financial objectives set forth by the company are achieved
- Manage capital and operating budgets, provide variance explanations, ensure budget forecasts and actuals are recorded correctly
- Responsible for 3 Area Operations Supervisors, 2 Technical Services Supervisors, and their respective crews
- Ensure operations personnel are properly trained and capable to perform their duties
- Assist in the education, organization, and preparation of Emergency Response
- Ensure continuous improvement of area assets and pipeline systems through accurate recording of risks and detailed business justification into risk register
- Provide open communication, strong work ethic, integrity, facilitate all company objectives and values and mentor employees in those areas
- Lead the LP Operations due diligence team for acquisition opportunities
- Prepare and submit LP Operations due diligence report with material issues, areas of concern, and valued-added opportunities that contribute to success of the acquisition
- Define financial model operations related inputs for acquisition model, integration budget, operational savings
- Populate Operations section of Risk matrix with risks and mitigations, and obtain signoff of Risk Matrix
- Participate in Transition Services Agreement negotiations
- Work with TMO to develop materials related to integration thesis, governance structure, integration schedule, milestones, communication plan, Day 1 planning, transitioning employee engagement planning, etc.
- Define LP Integration leadership structure and LP Workstream business function leads
- Prepare integration budgets, project codes for integration expenses and tracking projects for execution immediate after acquisition announcement
- Support development of an Integration Guide and related Playbooks
- Lead LP Integration team to ensure successful transition and integration of acquired assets
- Work with Supply Chain Management to ensure Regional Operations has continued access to the critical goods and services
- Identify spare parts needed to ensure operational reliability of the system and work with Supply Chain Management to procure long lead items
- Represent LP Operations as the Integration Lead
- Support Transaction Management Office (TMO) Lead with Steering Committee updates, and attend meetings representing LP integration activities
- Operations lead for ESG (i.e. carbon capture, ammonia, solar, etc.) projects secured by Business Development
- Represent LP Operations during the development process, providing operations related input as required to the Business Development team
- Operations Lead for Gulf Coast Transmission expansion projects
- Represent Regional Operations to Business Development related to developing expansion opportunities on the system and support a competitive approach to securing new business
- For new LP ESG projects, lead a process during development and construction phases to ensure LP Operations is ready to assume operation of these assets.
