Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- 10 years of supervisory experience in public water supply transmission and distribution systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the activities of the Construction and Distribution Departments.
- Prepares work plans for major construction and maintenance projects, and testing programs.
- Liaison with municipal, county and state officials to coordinate company activities.
- Performs construction project work sites field inspections.
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual budget of the department.
- Assures adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
- Plans and directs the work of subcontractors.
- Oversees the selection of candidates for job vacancies.
- Support managed growth projects in the Northern New Jersey division as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or management is preferred.
- Understanding of hydraulic principles related to piping networks preferred.
- Ability to foster positive labor relations in a union shop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings of distribution networks.
- A NJ DEP W-4 operator’s license is preferred.
