Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory role
  • Familiarity with TEMPEST inspection principles, EMSEC requirements, or facilities security
  • Experience with cybersecurity enforcement tools such as Forescout (policy creation, segmentation, C2C)
  • Strong understanding of DoD cyber service request workflows, especially 8140 and DLP waivers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface across engineering, compliance, and end-user environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of three core teams: TEMPEST Inspection Team, Cybersecurity Tools Team, and Customer Support Queue
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of EMSEC zone and equipment inspections
  • Manage configuration and policy development for tools like Forescout, ensuring alignment with Comply-to-Connect (C2C) and DoD control enforcement
  • Oversee ticket triage and processing for 8140 compliance reviews, DLP waiver validations, and related user-facing cyber requests
  • Interface with the enterprise CSSP, ISSOs, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth escalation, documentation, and risk alignment
  • Monitor tool health, policy enforcement efficacy, and inspection cycle deadlines
  • Provide operational metrics to senior leadership and support audit readiness for AFMAN 17-130 and CORA/CCRI reviews
  • Coach and develop staff, assign responsibilities, and ensure contract deliverables are met across operational lanes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement process improvements through automation or policy updates
  • Lead a team of Leidos employees and sub-contractors, defining the team’s direction and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Provide guidance, support, and resources to help team members succeed and feel motivated to contribute their best work
  • Foster an environment of employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and providing opportunities for skill enhancement
  • Responsible for team staffing activities, as well as addressing performance concerns, resolving disputes or disagreements within the team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Air Force, JSP, or other DoD mission environments
  • Working knowledge of AFMAN 17-130, Comply-to-Connect, and RMF control families
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or TEMPEST-specific credentials (CTTA, etc.)
  • Experience with Forescout eyeSight/eyeControl, ServiceNow ticketing, or automated enforcement systems.
