Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/Patient Care – Required
- 5 years Nursing/Patient Care – Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) – State Licensing Board in state of practice – Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) – American Heart Association within 90 days of hire – Required
- Unit Specific Certifications – Franciscan Alliance Required if required by unit:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association -Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association -Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – The American Academy of Pediatrics – Required if required by unit
Responsibilities
- Manage a busy level 3 Trauma certified Emergency Department and Clinical Decision/Observation Unit.
- Prepare, manage and control budget, monitor and analyze variances.
- Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements.
- Complete performance appraisal of staff members.
- Quality compliance.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills – Preferred
- Licensure – Nursing Leadership Licensure within 36 months – Preferred
