Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree: BSN from an accredited school of nursing, or ADN and a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of date of hire.
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
  • 3 years recent experience in Dialysis nursing.
  • Must meet criteria of Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the day to day operations of Dialysis Services (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT).
  • Assures that nursing standards for the care of dialysis patients are met throughout the organization.
  • Performs an annual needs assessment to determine caregivers educational needs, collaborates with nephrologists to streamline protocols for best practices, and follows up with staff to evaluate adherence to regulatory standard throughout the organization.
  • Leads quality and operations committees in partnership with Dialysis Medical Director.
  • Participates and assists in facilitating ongoing quality improvement initiatives intended to improve clinical outcomes and support the patient throughout the continuum of care, incorporating current knowledge and best practices into care that achieves high clinical and functional outcomes, is cost effective, and enables staff to provide the best dialysis care.
  • Maintains the systems and tools to track quality and operational data needed and identifies interventions when appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • 1 year first line management experience.
