Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or management and 8 years of related experience
- Experience with financial modeling
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Responsibilities
- Key participant in the UIL business financial planning process including developing, reviewing and communicating financial data to management and key stakeholders
- Conducts assessments of UIL business level performance as compared to budgets/forecasts and goals
- Guides budget/forecast changes and responds to budget/forecast inquiries from key stakeholders
- Contributes to the development and revision of corporate accounting and reporting policies
- Organize moderate and complex financial analysis, business analysis, profitability and cost analysis projects and present to management
- Prepares monthly variance reports on a variety of financial information
- Develops and reviews financial planning, financial statements and modeling for both regulated affiliates as needed
- Communicates financial results performance to key stakeholders and senior management
- Evaluate UIL risk and opportunities around annual budgeting and forecasting processes using risk modeling simulations
