Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 or more years of expertise/experience in management, machining operations and fabrication
- Successful track record in the related field of work
Responsibilities
- Supervises and trains technical staff members
- Responsible for management and administration of the MIE Manufacturing and Machining Facility including finances
- Acts as industry liaison
- Assists, advises and instructs students and faculty in machining and fabrication
- Supports the Capstone Design Program
- Provides guidance with custom design, machining, fabrication and metrology services
- Oversees equipment installation and materials handling
- Performs other tasks assigned depending upon the needs of the department
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in management of manufacturing machine shop or workshop operations
