Requirements
- Have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific field or equivalent professional experience
- >1 year of management experience
- Proven track record of consistent product delivery, ranging from software development to collecting customer feedback and shipping features successfully
- Decisive, hands-on, comfortable with rolling up your sleeves while also knowing when to delegate
- Comfortable with product complexity, able to reason about a variety of user experiences and design accordingly for them
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of frontend software engineers, identify opportunities to help them grow, and foster a collaborative team culture
- Draw insights from customer interviews to ensure that the team is solving the most valuable problems for users
- Dive deep into the code and architecture that supports the APM UI, understand the connections between a customer’s UX and the underlying technical details
- Challenge existing assumptions and patterns, push towards a rigorous perspective on UX performance and drive a culture of operational excellence
- Go wide across multiple product teams at Datadog to deliver an encompassing troubleshooting experience for users
- Work with senior engineering leadership as well as product leadership to plan a vision for the team that looks beyond just the immediate quarter
