Requirements

  • Extensive relevant experience in payroll management in a global corporation including management of multi member payroll team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent experience; Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification preferred
  • Proven people leadership skills
  • Strong proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Dayforce)
  • Experience with Workday including payroll processing module
  • Strong technical knowledge of global payroll processing including year-end requirements and tax compliance
  • Experience with project management for payroll software implementations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the global payroll team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and service excellence while developing team members’ expertise and growth.
  • Manage and oversee a team of high performing and diverse Payroll team members. Perform full scope of people management responsibilities including, recruiting, coaching, performance management and other related DE&I practices.
  • Build and oversee a customer-focused payroll team, implementing robust controls and streamlined processes to ensure timely, consistent, and responsive payroll support to our global employees.
  • Resolve complex inquiries, deliver high-level service, and ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Partner with payroll providers, vendors, local authorities, tax accountants, and auditors to ensure payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Effectively engage and partner with leaders, internal partners, and employees to ensure payroll operations support business priorities and add value across all areas.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential payroll records for both employer and employee, adhering to regulatory standards and data management protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
