Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute flammability certification processes to support engineering projects and program milestones.
- Monitor project plans, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage resource allocation, set priorities, and provide technical guidance for certification-related tasks.
- Oversee technical report writing and documentation to support certification approvals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, acting as the primary escalation contact.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance in certification efforts.
- Coordinate proposals, business plans, and financial elements related to project execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
- Background in aerospace engineering, with a focus on flammability certification for aircraft interiors.
- Ability to navigate complex project challenges and drive innovative solutions.
- Experience with FAA/EASA certification processes and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
- Preferred: Degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with aircraft seating certification.
