Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute flammability certification processes to support engineering projects and program milestones.
  • Monitor project plans, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage resource allocation, set priorities, and provide technical guidance for certification-related tasks.
  • Oversee technical report writing and documentation to support certification approvals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, acting as the primary escalation contact.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance in certification efforts.
  • Coordinate proposals, business plans, and financial elements related to project execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
  • Background in aerospace engineering, with a focus on flammability certification for aircraft interiors.
  • Ability to navigate complex project challenges and drive innovative solutions.
  • Experience with FAA/EASA certification processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Preferred: Degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with aircraft seating certification.
