Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.
  • 10+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including account reconciliation preparation and review, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
  • Experience with finance transformation (digitization, process automation, Alteryx, etc.).
  • Clear and concise communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Workday, BNA Bloomberg Tax, Blackline, Salesforce, and SAP.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated initiative in research and follow-through.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an automation-first transformation of financial accounting by streamlining workflows, reducing manual journal entries, and maximizing system capabilities (e.g., Oracle, Workday, BNA, Blackline).
  • Develop a high-performance accounting team by shifting their focus from transactional processing to in-depth financial analysis, variance insights, and business advising.
  • Optimize the close process to accelerate reporting timelines without sacrificing accuracy, leveraging automation tools for reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Enhance financial reporting by implementing advanced analytics and visualization tools that provide real-time insights into key financial trends.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance colleagues to continuously enhance accounting systems, ensuring seamless integration and automation across processes.
  • Partner with business units to provide meaningful financial insights, helping stakeholders understand financial performance and make informed decisions.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy while modernizing financial reporting, internal controls, and implementing automated workflows to strengthen governance and reduce risk.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives aligned with broader corporate finance objectives, reinforcing an automation-first culture within the organization.
  • Prepare and review monthly consolidation packages, annual consolidated financial statements, and technical accounting papers for review by senior finance leadership and external auditors, assisting with interpreting and implementing new accounting standards and amendments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks is a plus.
