Requirements
- Accounting Degree required (advanced degree or CPA preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in a general accounting environment preferably with a large corporation or auditing a large corporation required
- 3+ years of experience with managing/leading teams required
- Experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting preferred
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Hyperion HFM, Microsoft Dynamics or Apptio preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively work cross-functionally, and with all levels of management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytic skills and demonstrated ability to plan and organize.
- Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and leading teams and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Corporate IT Accounting functional areas
- Review IT accruals, reclass and direct billing/intercompany work order (IWO) entries required for IT costs allocations
- Approval of journal entries for accruals, various corporate cost allocations.
- Owns the review and analysis of KBR IT’s financial activities impacting the Corporate Income Statement, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow. Must be able to ensure accuracy and completeness in addition to making recommendations for cost efficiencies and financial excellence.
- Review of monthly/quarterly reports and analysis to external reporting and internal/external auditors and respond regarding periodic information requests.
- Support Corporate planning, budgeting and forecasting for Corporate IT.
- Manage and provide guidance related to the IT Fixed Asset & Lease Accounting Process
- Participate with Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis manager in month-end close financial review meetings for Corporate IT and IT portfolios.
- Participate in month-end close financial review meeting for KBR Corporate
- Drive and lead continuously improving and automating accounting and reporting initiatives.
- Review and approve reconciliations and analysis.
