Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in managed care and data analysis required.
Responsibilities
- Designs and manages studies as requested by internal and external (e.g., CMS, NCQA, HEDIS) clients for purposes of ensuring accreditation, improving health, and analyzing business opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Assures quality and integrity of data collected, analysis performed, and reports generated.
- Develops methods for improving internal techniques and processes.
- Understanding multiple data sources and formats, utilizes multiple data systems to accomplish objectives.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, managerial skills and communication skills preferred.
- Experience with Medicaid HEDIS and state-specific quality reporting requirements strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of state Medicaid programs, CMS quality initiatives, and the regulatory reporting process.
- Expertise in utilizing data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI) for quality improvement and reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of NCQA accreditation standards and experience preparing for HEDIS audits and CMS reviews.
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable business insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor analytical teams, fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into actionable operational plans for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership and regulatory agencies.
