Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 7 years of accounts payable experience required, preferably with 2+ years leading others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the data
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent leader, developer of finance team

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs the month end close process, consolidation of global results, and month end reporting to Sysco Corporation in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the recruiting, training, and performance management and development of finance associates
  • Completes monthly close duties and schedules in a timely manner
  • Interact with Accountants, and finance leads in terms of monthly close activities, including journal entries, monthly schedules, and reconciliation work
  • Make recommendations to management to improve profitability
  • Lead contact with Auditors
  • Recognized leader on researching technical / complex accounting issues and implementing new standards
  • Enhance financial reporting efficiency while partnering with finance and operation stakeholders
  • Lead SOX compliance and evaluation of internal controls
  • Identify opportunities to control costs and reduce expenses
