Job Description
The Regional Manager will work together with the Territory Managers to conduct daily sales activity management that involves but is not limited to, account ownership of 2-step distributors, dealers, and contractors.
The ideal candidate has experience coaching and guiding a strong sales team within a 2-step sales model within the building materials industry, has demonstrated success in outside sales, is extremely autonomous, and can travel throughout the assigned territory.
Location: This position is eligible for a remote schedule based out of Chicago, IL with 4-5 overnight travel each month. The territory covers IL, WI, MN, IA, ND, SD, and NE.
Salary: $140-$170k plus annual bonus. We will provide company car, laptop, and cell phone.
What you will be doing:
- Develop regional sales strategies that drive share growth across all target markets and product categories
- Understand U.S. Wholesale’s strategic direction and execute regional activities consistent with this strategy
- Understand all target markets, as well as interdependencies between channel influencers/decision makers, and work collaboratively with Strategic Account Manager teams, Showroom Specialists, and Inside Sales to drive share growth
- Cultivate an environment of high performance through target setting, measuring and managing work, team collaboration, performance management, employee development and ensuring the proper rewards and recognition are in place
- Formulate Regional Sales Plan that incorporates strategies and programs with short and long term goals for each target market and key customers; take advantage of current business as well as exploiting all incremental market share opportunities to achieve/exceed annual sales targets
- Create an accurate forecast for the region and key accounts on a monthly basis and provide meaningful insights on customer and market performance
- Build bench strength by recruiting, training and developing best-in-class sales professionals while leveraging Moen’s Operating Philosophy
- Leverage technology to drive field effectiveness and efficiencies
- Monitor and communicate business trends, distribution patterns, consumer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance to senior leadership
- Foster an environment of accountability, embrace change and change management as well as lead by example
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar. In lieu of a degree must possess an additional 4 years of commensurate sales experience
- 8+ years of sales experience required; 3+ years of leadership experience is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience and a track record of coaching, developing, and mentoring talent
- Available to travel across the assigned territory (4-5 nights per month)
- Familiarity with a CRM system (i.e. Hubspot)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all Moen customers, associates, and agents
- Ability to gain results quickly while instilling a sense of accountability within the team
