Requirements
- Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association
- Upon hire: National Registered Technologist – Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist – Mammography
- Dependent on location, prior general radiography experience may be required
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting
- Produce high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner
- Perform required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA
- Utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams, depending on location
