Requirements
- Any combination equivalent of high school and two or more years of experience at journey level in one or more of the trades with emphasis in the electrical area.
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by coursework or training in electrical and fire codes, modern electrical repair and telecommunication, maintenance repair.
- Possession of a valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
- Insurability by the facility’s liability insurance carrier.
Responsibilities
- Operate the variety of tools and equipment utilized in the performance of duties in multiple trades.
- Perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Test and evaluate electronic systems and installations.
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of electrical equipment, including clocks, alarms, and communications systems.
- Plan and layout skilled work, including estimating time and material cost.
- Skillfully use a variety of hand and power tools, machines and equipment utilized in the repair, maintenance and building trades.
- Comply with appropriate safety precautions and procedures.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions and standard work procedures.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Maintain routine records.
- Observe legal and defensive driving principles.
- Practice proper safety practices in the operation of equipment.
- Maintain daily time sheets and records of work accomplished.
