Requirements
- Three to Five years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with a proven track record of supervising a team.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage budgets and work with diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of facilities services staff (18 Direct Reports)
- Assign tasks and schedule work shifts (1st Shift 7:00a-3:00p, 2nd Shift 3:00p-11:00p, 3rd Shift 11:00p-7:00a)
- Provide training and guidance to employees
- Monitor and evaluate performance
- Manage disciplinary actions or conflicts within the department
- Inspect and maintain building systems and equipment
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs or installations
- Ensure compliance with safety and building codes
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Develop and manage department budget
- Approve and track expenses and purchases
- Identify cost saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints
- Oversee inventory of supplies and equipment
- Monitor usage and order necessary items
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and expenses
- Implement inventory control processes to minimize waste and loss
- Plan and coordinate facility improvement or renovation projects
- Create project timelines and budgets
- Oversee progress and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Communicate updates and changes to stakeholders
- Maintain department records and reports
- Prepare and submit necessary paperwork and documentation
- Assist with hiring and onboarding of new staff
- Attend meetings and provide updates on department activities and projects.
