Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or trade school
  • 5 Years high-speed packaging line maintenance including plumbing and basic electrical
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in English
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general policies
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and inter-department staff
  • Capable of working with peers and associates from other departments in a proactive and constructive manner
  • Ability to read, comprehend equipment manuals and blueprints-schematics

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
  • Perform daily work assignments as assigned by the Maintenance Group Leader, Maintenance Supervisor or Department Manager. Respond to pages for repairs, adjustments, & issues on production lines. Work on projects (equipment re-location, installations, & upgrades)
  • Complete work orders for repairs and logging all activities in logbooks when required. Pull, disassemble, reassemble and re-install pistons during washout. Pull and reinstall change parts for cleaning
  • Perform Line size changeovers, monthly Line Preventive Maintenance, and maintenance functions for Deep Cleaning-Super Sanitizations
  • Maintain shop area for change & spare parts storage
  • Request needed supplies
  • Look for and report potential safety issues
  • Look for and recommend changes for improvement
  • Attend and comprehend monthly safety training
  • Perform assigned Monthly Safety Inspections
