Maintenance Mechanic II

High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of experience required.
Ability to learn and consistently apply modern precision maintenance techniques for coupled and belt driven equipment.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and ordinances related to facilities plumbing, electrical, and renovation tasks performed.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and equipment schematics.
Applicable State licenses such as Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC held in high regard.
May require occasional shift work including nights, holidays and weekends to support special projects or events.
Participation in an on-call rotation is required during which a response time of 45 minutes or less is needed.
Will require occasional travel for reasons such as training or project support.

Performs preventive maintenance, adjustments, and basic repairs on piping and plumbing systems including fixtures, water fountain, bathroom equipment; steam and process hot water systems including control and isolation valves, steam traps, heat exchangers, pumps, and associated equipment; process equipment including tunnel washers, rack washers, bottle washers, autoclaves, bedding dispensers and drying cabinets, water treatment systems, etc. (60%)
Participates in major component replacement and evaluation of complex system problems. (10%)
Provides general clean up, housekeeping, and maintenance of mechanical equipment rooms. (10%)
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned based on the needs of the day. (10%)
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. (10%)
