Requirements
- Perform all aspects of entry-level mechanics and higher levels of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs
- Minor electrical repairs such as switches, solenoids, heater bands, relays, contractors, starters, and pyro-meters
- Hydraulic repairs, oil leaks, pilot valves, and cylinders, hydraulic hoses and tubing lines
- Basic hydraulic circuit modification
- Able to replace toggle pins and links, guide rods, bushings, tie bars, setting tie bar strain
- Rebuilding of pumps with limited supervisor guidance
- Repair directional valves and flow controls
- Complete command of mold setting, operation settings, and perform all safety checks
- Basic welding and cutting projects, including torches and power tools
- Performs appropriate cleaning of press tie bars, ways, and drop area to prevent grease and oil related rejections
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear
- Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal
