Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of LTL trucking and its advantages.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute an effective sales plan for your territory.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the LTL trucking market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- LTL operations experience preferred.
