Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least 15+ years of experience leading high-tech and/or medical device warehousing and supply chain.
  • Professional management certification such as APICS CPIM or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen in supply chain, global logistics, planning and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills in building and managing large teams with a history of world class performance.

Responsibilities

  • Head several warehouses including shipping, receiving, inventory control, space management, resource planning and safety.
  • Be part of the global logistics organization with goals to help manufacturing operations with inbound materials, maximize product availability, warehouse capacity/capability and assure optimal product delivery.
  • Establish company protocols around SOX, ISO, regulatory and compliance in coordination of corporate guidelines.
  • Establish campus warehousing strategies to ensure service levels and KPI’s are met.
  • Execute the vision for warehouse layouts and new Sunnyvale site build specs.
  • Drive the discussion on use of new automated warehouse technologies such as ASRS and automated material delivery.
  • Contribute to capital selection process to ensure purchases support operations and growth.
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain/Purchasing to continue the formulation of the Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
  • Manage transactional integrity and establish controls to ensure operational performance based on key performance metrics.
  • Work jointly with all warehouse campuses to ensure strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team are in place to optimize value of the entire function.
  • Communicate strategic and tactical recommendations through formal updates to a wide variety of collaborators.
  • Build credibility and effective relationships with warehouse supervisors, peers, and direct reports.
  • Attract and retain a high-performing team by leading with inclusion and diversity.
  • Steer the organization to improve operational quality, efficiency, and minimize labor overtime as well as premium freight expenses.
  • Instill a lean methodology and mentality of continuous improvement within management and staff.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with all global medical and financial regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
  • Participate in existing and new product (NPI) planning processes.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of S4Hana and related warehouse WM systems.
  • Establish annual goals and targets, in coordination with corporate priorities and manage performance to ensure attainment.
  • Continue the evolution of warehouse metric dashboards and analytics to measure performance, guide actions, and drive business continuity.
  • Create labor models to help future growth and drive decision-making regarding capital, resources, and insourcing vs outsourcing strategies.
  • Cultivate a healthy work environment aligned with company culture and values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-growing multibillion-dollar company preferred.
  • Inspiring leadership skills to recruit, motivate, and develop the top talent required in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent statistical skills are required.
  • Detailed knowledge of enterprise scale warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, multi-echelon inventory management, and visibility systems desired.
