Requirements
- Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
- Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
- Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
- Applying process improvement tools and assisting with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
- Coordinating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
- Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
- Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
- Data analysis on storage and productivity statistics.
- Warehouse storage design: Machinery & equipment design and procurement; workforce & equipment planning; logistics process design; inventory transfer & rearrangement planning; and integrating supply chain knowledge into warehouse design.
- Using knowledge of SAP to integrate this into the overall design of the facility.
- Support automation and modernization warehouse projects.
- Ensure projects are executed in a timely manner and completion timelines are adhered to.
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly proficient in SAP functional knowledge of logistics and warehouse management systems
- Experience in SAP configuration, technical trouble shooting/problem solving, and associated hardware/software for daily warehouse transactional operations
- Zebra, Bartender, Crystal Reports or other tag, barcode, QR printing software as well as printer problem resolution skills
- Background in supply chain, logistics, industrial or mechanical engineering. Experience in warehouse storage and handling system design and implementation experience (such as traditional racking, handling equipment, processing area setup)
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Tableau, & AutoCAD
- A degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or other Technical Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Experience working with large data sets and data analysis
- Building inclusive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to problem solve, set priorities and deal with uncertainty
