Requirements
- 8 years of Cyber and/or IT experience
- Linux systems engineering experience
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system management.
- Active Top Secret clearance or prior Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access is required
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux servers and systems in a SOC environment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cyber security tools including Splunk, threat detection, and monitoring systems.
- Ensure the security, availability, and performance of Linux systems and applications.
- Collaborate with SOC analysts and other IT staff to identify and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain security compliance.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning as necessary.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system and security incidents as needed.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing system or network administration
- Experience with the following tools: CSAM, XACTA, eMASS
- You have one or more of the following certifications: Linux+, Red Hat certifications such as RHCA, RHCSA, RHCE etc., CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
