Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in a health-related field a plus
- Range of 5-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the healthcare consulting industry
- Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts and achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and influence decision-makers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex client needs and develop tailored solutions
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and challenges is a must
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the life sciences sector, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring they receive exceptional service
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Develop and implement strategies to expand Avalere’s market presence within key accounts and achieve revenue targets
- Identify new prospect contacts and engage with them to generate new pipeline opportunities
- Understand client needs and industry challenges
- Create and deliver tailored consulting solutions that add value and meet client objectives
- Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales enablement, proposal development, and subject matter experts/project delivery teams
- Monitor and report on account performance, sales metrics, and client feedback

- Experience in preparing and proofing documents for senior-level audience
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to multi-task and can prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items
- Ethical, confident, and creative, with a persistent “can do” attitude
- Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationship with colleagues and clients to achieve solutions-oriented goals
- Proactive mindset and approach, ability to think several steps ahead of known client and teammate needs, and suggest improvements to existing processes

- Experience managing multiple initiatives/work streams simultaneously preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
