Licensing Underage Minor Operative

Requirements

• Two years of high school completion
• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Ability to work in high-stress environments
• High level of ethical behavior
• Handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Must not have character or record that could lead to a challenge of credibility
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Issued Identification Card (ID) or Driver License

Responsibilities

• Periodic, as needed, work attempting to purchase alcohol and marijuana products while working with Licensing staff
• Ability to testify at administrative hearings or in court
• No set working schedule or guaranteed hours
• Work schedule will work around class schedules and other employment
• Incumbents will attempt to purchase regulated products, including showing their identification or providing a truthful or false response to age-related questions, depending on the nature of the investigation
• Licensing personnel will be present outside or inside the licensed business monitoring the attempted purchase
• Work will involve getting into and out of a vehicle at various locations during a single shift
• Additional work may be required for testimony at a civil or criminal proceeding under oath

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work independently as well as to accept supervision during operations
• At least 18 years of age
