Requirements
- Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited institution plus NYS Licensure
- Interest in ongoing career growth and advanced skill development
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a busy, team-oriented clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and assisting in the diagnostic work-up of each patient, which includes venipuncture/catheter placement, administering and monitoring sedation, assisting in minor medical procedures and also specializing in the safe administration of chemotherapy
- Working closely with other hospital services to provide the best comprehensive patient care
- Shaping the future of veterinary care through practical instruction of diverse veterinary students
- Assisting with clinical trials to advance veterinary cancer care
