Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in plant operations
- Licensure to operate and maintain steam systems in the relevant municipality or state
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience as a door and access technician, electrical worker, HVAC technician, plant operator, or plumber
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the hospital’s boiler and/or chiller systems
- Performing water treatment on boilers, steam systems, chillers, and cooling towers
- Maintaining and preparing systems for inspections
- Performing or leading boiler and chiller teardown and major maintenance
- Planning, performing, and leading activities for winterizing chillers and cooling towers
- Troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC digital and pneumatic controls
- Ensuring the cleanliness of their working area and assigned locations
- Communicating with staff at all levels and prioritizing workload
- Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of timekeeping documentation
- Utilizing deep, extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Licensed Steam Operator I or II based on experience
