Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited vocational/technical LPN course required.
- Knowledge of wound related products & procedures required.
- Active LPN license to work in South Carolina required.
- Current BLS required.
Responsibilities
- Perform the primary function of a licensed practical nurse in providing care to patients in need of wound care services.
- Meet standards of Wound Care practice set forth by regulatory agencies & nursing practice in the management of all assigned patients.
- Assist medical staff with the implementation of wound treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in the review of performance improvement activities.
- Act within the guidelines of federal & state laws, Joint Commission standards, and professional & ethical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited wound care course/training preferred.
- Certification in Wound Care preferred.
