Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of legal or related experience
- Any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and research to support negotiations for provider contracting under the supervision of an attorney
- Prepare, analyze, and evaluate legal documents such as contracts, legal memorandum, regulatory filings, and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and analysis, and recommend appropriate course of action and next steps
- Monitor state and federal legislation affecting the corporation and develop and/or implement recommendations relative to changes in regulations and laws
- Assist with regulatory filings and compliance issues
- Attend and represent the company at appropriate legal proceedings, arbitration hearings, and/or subsidiary company’s board meetings under supervision of counsel
- Participate on projects and may participate in negotiations and strategizing with business and staff
- Enter information as required into appropriate databases or other document management systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Provider Contracting experience preferred
- Experience in managed care or healthcare industry preferred
