Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; preferably an associate degree
- Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service
- Must be able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change
- Ability to read and write at a high level for proof reading and editing purposes
- High-level proficiency in MS Office suite
- Proficiency in internet research activities
- Familiarity with case and document management software
- Ability to proficiently operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, typewriter, and telephone is required
Responsibilities
- Consistently and accurately updating the firm’s internal case management system, as well as clients’ systems
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction
- Drafting and proofreading legal documents as required
- Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere
- Providing regular and timely client status updates, as well as continual follow-up on outstanding documents and or services
- Assist attorneys in calendar and Conference preparation. Working on mitigation and settlement correspondences
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and preparation
- Manage and organize case files, including electronic and physical documents
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively
- Coordinate and schedule court appearances, motion hearing dates, and other legal proceedings
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferably relevant foreclosure work experience
- Experience with client systems such as Loansphere, Lenstar, Clairfire, Tempo, Vendorscape and others is preferred
- Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure preferred
- Experience with drafting legal documents and pleadings, such as motions, letters and notices
