Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of prior relevant administrative support experience.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with suite of Microsoft Office/M365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Able to prioritize and exercise good judgment, initiative and discretion, and must have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Willingness to learn new software and other applications, platforms, and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing is a must.
- Ability to consistently work effectively, efficiently, and cooperatively with other corporate functions and departments, clients from line organizations, and external parties such as outside law firms and Governmental personnel. Must be able to work effectively with key administrative personnel across the enterprise.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of projects on a timely basis.
- Appreciation of the sensitivity of matters handled by the Leidos Legal Department and demonstration of discretion and confidentiality in the performance of tasks and duties.
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision and exhibit a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Professional demeanor, highly organized, and work well in collaborative settings.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate travel and create expense reports for attorneys and help their team members using Concur.
- Prepare Word, Adobe Pro, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, agendas, reports, special projects and other documents in support of objectives for the organization.
- Assist with managing professional memberships and coordinating billing and payment functions for the legal department.
- Coordinate team activities and events that attorneys and their teams might need such as team meetings, training sessions with outside counsel, as well as meetings with overseas team members and clients.
- Daily management of calendar and meetings for attorneys, as well as general administrative duties such as copying, scanning, document management and formatting, and distribution of mail for attorneys and their teams.
- Arrange and reserve conference rooms, catering, audio/video and other essential services as needed for meetings and conferences.
- Arrange UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS mail to be sent to employees, directors, government entities, clients, outside counsel and other 3rd parties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or some college/post-high school course work.
