Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in US disability/leave administration and ADA accommodation.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Deep understanding and application of federal and state disability and paid family leave laws (i.e., ADA, FMLA, PFWA, CFRA, HIPPA, etc.) in a multi-state environment.
- Independent worker and must be able to regularly exercise discretion, handle conflict and be firm when required.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ability to analyze complex questions and determine the best course of actions or recommendation.
- Organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Administers Leave of Absence Programs and policies, engaging with team members, HR partners, management and third-party administrators to ensure appropriate support and processes are followed. Researches and resolves issues accordingly.
- Engage in the interactive process associated with ADA Accommodations and the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act.
- Accurately and timely process high volume of leave actions in Company payroll, timekeeping and HR systems. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of leave laws, PWFA and ADA regulations.
- Collaborates with Workers Compensation vendor to process employee claims.
- Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure successful vendor interfaces are in place.
- Develop, generate and present reports to analyze leave data and trends.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave programs in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership and Legal.
- Process State Disability Claims as necessary.
- Reconciles/analyzes payroll files or resolves individual pay inquiries as related to leaves.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal leave laws, providing support and project execution when new laws develop.

- Experience in administering a CA VDI Plan a plus
