Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in management of strategic supplier relationships and contracts
  • Strong IT, Technology, IT Professional Services negotiation background
  • Experience with Cloud Service Providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), SaaS and Software licensing and renewals
  • Ability to manage intense workloads within short time-frames
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, legal drafting of custom language and communication skills
  • Business, cost management and quality experience
  • Structured process orientated approach
  • Skilled in independently creating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and “What-If” scenario financial modeling and analysis for comparative sourcing events
  • Understanding of complex contractual terms and conditions including intellectual property ownership
  • Ability to generate comprehensive commercial deal sheet terms by fully understanding client requirements, usage and budget forecasts, supplier products/services and defining flexibility terms to adequately support contractual use by multiple business unit

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and big thinking inclusive of technology development and advancement incorporating the cloud, hardware, software, Xaas, IoT, AI/ML, Automation, etc.
  • Effectively understand the offering, costs of what AT&T is buying, alternatives, and how solution compares to our current solutions already used in company; negotiate security controls to ensure technology risks are mitigated and technology performs in compliance with requirements.
  • Analyze software SKUs to ensure each technology sourcing event contains a full solution and to ask probing question about each SKU to ensure solutions are not being over-proposed;
  • Review architecture to determine if public-cloud hosted or private-cloud hosted to determine applicable cloud terms to include in contract;
  • Understand and translate network architectures, technology evolution and deployment models to ensure cost elements and contractual terms align to business value;
  • Understand technology cost drivers to align pricing models with value realized by the business;
  • Transform the technical requirements into contractual obligations to hold suppliers accountable for a successful implementation;
  • Fluent in OS, cores, containers, sockets, and network technologies to appropriately negotiate relevant terms for asset management and compliance.
  • Business process, cost management and governance to ensure single version of truth of spend data for enterprise use, optimization, compliance, automating where applicable.
  • Risk management expertise including problem solving, familiar with laws, intellectual property, technical regulations regarding data and privacy to make decisions and ensure BU stakeholders awareness.
  • Ability to work seamlessly within and across companies, cultures, functions, and geographies to drive change and action.
  • Best practices knowledge within and across industries including an ability to translate those learnings into application for AT&T.
  • Project Management skills to oversee small to large projects that may involve cross-functional teams.
