Requirements

  • 15+ years of total professional experience, including at least 7+ years of technical program management experience, with 2+ years managing TPMs or leading complex cross-functional portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of software development, platform infrastructure, and product lifecycle models.
  • Demonstrated success driving complex initiatives across large, distributed teams.
  • Strong expertise in capacity planning, resource estimation, and strategic execution frameworks.
  • Experienced in detailed technical analyses, including dependencies, design, and operations, and skilled in communicating with engineering and product teams.
  • Able to dive deeply into technical details (e.g., key dependencies, design choices, operability, etc.) and drive constructive discussions with engineers and product managers.
  • Capability to provide executive-level insights and drive data-driven decision-making for complex portfolios; can communicate and influence at multiple levels—from engineers to C-suite.
  • Experience in driving organizational change related to project management practices and tools; direct experience with planning and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Airtable, Confluence).
  • Skilled at surfacing trade-offs, navigating ambiguity, and aligning multiple stakeholders.
  • Passion for creating clarity, improving ways of working, and delivering real customer impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio of strategic programs, ensuring alignment with company priorities, product roadmaps, and business outcomes.
  • Lead and support a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) responsible for program execution, providing guidance, support, and escalation paths to drive successful delivery.
  • Oversee portfolio-level reporting, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership for resource allocation and prioritization decisions.
  • Drive execution planning cycles, partnering with cross-functional leaders to scope, sequence, and resource initiatives.
  • Facilitate prioritization and alignment discussions across engineering, product, design, and business teams to resolve trade-offs and build shared commitment.
  • Ensure comprehensive program oversight, leveraging analytical tools and data to monitor advancement, identify potential impediments, and generate polished updates and correspondence suitable for executive review.
  • Maintain visibility into program health, using tools and data to track progress, surface risks, and deliver executive-ready updates and communications.
  • Continuously improve execution processes, optimizing workflows, cadences, and tooling to increase team velocity, efficiency, and transparency.
  • Promote program management excellence, mentoring TPMs, standardizing best practices, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
