Lead Software Engineer

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field
Eight (8) years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation
8 years of HCL Commerce (previously WCS) software engineering
8 years of leading other software engineers/developers
5 years of leading technical team members as their supervisor or manager
8 years in Java and J2EE software engineering
5 years in Agile scrum methodology

Understand business requirements for new features implemented within the eCommerce platform
Work with business and business analysts to gather and refine business requirements
Perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision
Prepare the technical design documents based on business requirements
Design & build new features on HCL Commerce leveraging out of the box components as well as extending/customizing where necessary
Work directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution
Lead Development & unit/integration testing of new features for the scrum team
Perform Code Reviews, performance assessments, architecture discussions
Support QA team for release’s quality assurance as a representative from the development team
Fix issues that arise from testing
Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components
Indirectly oversee a pod of four scrum teams to ensure overall code quality and velocity
Mentor and assist senior software green engineers and software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed
