About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a lead software engineer , who will be working on engineering, design, build and support Self Service Portal, an automation framework that provide end to end automated workflows for 20+ platform services.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Java development experience
  • 5+ years of Angular, JavaScript & Spring Boot development experience
  • 5+ years of Full Stack development experience
  • 3+ years of relational database experience
  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience with process automation using Linux or Windows scripting.
  • Experience and understanding of Ansible, PowerShell, and Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology object oriented: design patterns and their application.
  • Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support.
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology platform development including large scale technology in a capital markets environment.
  • Hands on experience capturing functional and non-functional requirements, grid/caching data flow issue troubleshooting.
  • Expert level skills understanding server infrastructure, storage, and network data flow issues.

Job Expectations:

  • This individual will work with development and technical support teams on application and/ or patch installation, configuration, systems integration, testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post go-live support.
  • The position will take a key role in support and implementation of application infrastructure that requires collaboration across various infrastructure teams to integrate best practices and efficiencies into production environments, while mitigating risk through testing and capacity planning. This position will be part of the overall 24×7 support team & mechanism for CCIBT applications and infrastructure.
  • Position offers a hybrid work schedule
