Requirements
- Strong Java development skills with ability to review and write code.
- Strong quality assurance practice knowledge.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence others.
- Ability to understand different application types and architectures.
- Ability to assess, communicate, mitigate, and escalate risks.
- Experience with using test automation tools and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Drive testing automation strategy across FINRA’s enterprise applications.
- Implement automation frameworks and champion best practices.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels regarding quality strategy.
- Interact with senior development and quality assurance leadership, application teams, and product management.
- Engage in hands-on development work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in software quality assurance with lead capacity role.
- Experience supporting a large team of developers spread across multiple peer teams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
- Experience developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Experience defining and tracking QA metrics.
- Experience working in Agile environments and integrating QA into the development lifecycle.
- Ability to mentor and convince others of the testing best practices and automation vision.
- Experience with Workday and Workday automation testing (particularly Kainos Smart Test).
- Experience building test automation frameworks for SaaS products.
- Foundational knowledge of application security testing.
- DevOps skills.
- AWS experience.
