Requirements
- Proven experience in machine assembly or sheet metal work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Proficiency with relevant tools (hand and power tools for machine assembly; press brakes and plate rollers for sheet metal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Leadership skills and experience in managing a team
Responsibilities
- Lead the assembly of machines and mechanical components according to specifications and instructions.
- Guide team members in utilizing various hand and power tools for assembly, repair, and maintenance of machinery.
- Read, interpret, and ensure the correct application of blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Oversee the inspection of assembled parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve complex assembly issues, providing guidance to team members.
- Lead the operation of a press brake, including bending up to 3/4″ pipe and handling other heavy materials.
- Oversee the use of plate rollers to roll up to 3/8″ thick plates, ensuring precision and quality.
- Accurately interpret blueprints to determine appropriate tooling and procedures for material bending.
- Lead the selection of proper tooling for various materials, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of the operation.
- Guide the setup and adjustment of back gauges for accurate bending operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role within your field – at least 5 years.
- Demonstrated ability to work with heavy materials and large-scale projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor and lead a team.
