Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; technical degree preferred.
  • Five years of relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial plant equipment.
  • Ability to provide leadership to the team for daily and routine work direction.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with minimum notice.

  • May be required to work overtime hours during planned and un-planned maintenance outages.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul or maintain operating condition of the facility’s industrial production and processing machinery.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Operate the lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Assist or direct less experienced mechanics as required.
  • Oversees daily tasks and provides technical assistance, guidance, and recommendations.
  • Reviewing and assisting in establishing day-to-day work order priorities.
  • Direct mechanics based on plant priorities.
  • Inspecting and approving completed work done by the mechanic.
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance work.

  • Assist Maintenance Manager with Outage execution.
  • Lead contractor and employee maintenance projects and activities.
