Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology degree from an accredited college or university.
- 5+ years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge in Statistics and Data Analysis
- Transfer in-depth technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems (e.g., Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes, Transmission Systems, Steam Generation, and Lifting equipment).
- Capable of leading single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and wellbeing of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
- Ensure assets operate at optimum efficiency to maximize output and consistently meet targets.
- Support the delivery of the mill’s improvement strategy.
- Build capability in One KC Manufacturing practices.
- Be flexible for emergency callouts.
- Optimize and sustain tissue manufacturing assets, minimize machine downtime, and implement cost-saving improvements.
- Implement new engineering systems and solutions.
- Optimize maintenance strategies.
- Train and mentor others, creating a legacy of best practice.
