Requirements

  • 6+ years with A Bachelor’s, or 4+ years with a Master’s degree, in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Documented active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with RF lab equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, etc.).
  • Experience developing or testing RF systems in controlled environments such as anechoic chambers.
  • Proficiency with electrical system design, including power and RF distribution, high speed signal path analysis, and debug.
  • An understanding of GNSS systems and technology.
  • Understanding of GNSS receivers, antennas and software defined radios.
  • Experience with signal processing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools and platforms for PNT and NAVWAR system testing and validation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to engage and influence.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel up to 15%.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., working at a computer workstation).
  • Must be able to operate standard office and lab equipment (e.g., computers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
  • Must be able to occasionally move or transport test equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to analyze data, interpret test results, and make engineering judgments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Visual acuity required for viewing technical drawings, schematics, and computer screens.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF systems and instrumentation to create controlled RF environments for PNT testing in anechoic chambers and lab testbeds.
  • Architect systems for wavefront simulation, multi-antenna signal injection, and GNSS spoofing/jamming emulation.
  • Select and integrate RF hardware components including signal generations, phase shifters, programmable attenuators, RF switches, and amplifiers.
  • Develop test plans and execute measurements to characterize and validate RF performance, chamber fidelity, and signal propagation.
  • Work closely with design engineers, software developments, and system integrators to tailor RF environments for emerging technologies.
  • Implement automation for signal routing, test execution, and data capture using scripting and control systems.
  • Continue to drive the state of the art in software defined radio development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers and manufacturing, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, high level diagrams, implementation details, BOMs (Bill of materials) and test plans.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including EMI/EMC and safety standards.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure proper requirements capture and delivered products meet customers’ needs.
