- 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Responsibilities
- Monitor, assess and report on asset quality, portfolio trends and industry trends
- Liaison between the lines of business and credit risk teams, translating strategic goals into solutions and providing credible review and challenge
- Partner with independent risk management and CIB functions to drive CIB credit portfolio risk ad hoc projects
- Prepare analyses of risks across the portfolio including emerging risks that could potentially impact the CIB businesses
- Develop portfolio risk mitigation strategies in partnership with group leaders and the lines of business within CIB
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Credit Risk team to meet high priority deliverables
- Provide vision, direction and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- Build relationships with corporate, business heads, Legal, Audit, regulators and industry partners on risk related topics
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and effectively build relationships within a matrixed environment to influence outcomes within Corporate & Investment Banking
- Proven ability to monitor risk exposures at the group, line of business and product levels
- Ability to identify and monitor current and emerging risks and take appropriate action when business activities exceed established risk appetite levels
- Experience with industry or market research and surveillance
- Understanding of direct credit lending products and valuations
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in designing and executing robust processes and controls
- Ability to influence and consult strategically across a large organization and with various levels of leadership/stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
