Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 10 years of prior work-related experience
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a procurement, sourcing, vendor management role with multiple category expertise, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • At least 10 years of experience in contract structuring and negotiation for services, consulting, and outsourcing services contract
  • Proficient with MS Office – Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Visio
  • Proficient with Oracle applications or equivalent (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Knowledge of financial controls and regulation including SOX, Shared Information Gathering (SIG), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), etc. required
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple industries or spend categories
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vendor agreements, licensing, business models, markets and legal documents
  • Ability to think critically and understand levers for contract negotiation and purchasing power
  • Ability to assess risk coupled with strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to deliver work on time and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels
  • Ability to observe trends and anticipate change for setting strategy
  • Ability to translate market, product intelligence to customers and for setting strategy
  • Ability to identify and perform key financial analyses and build a business case

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing supply chain efficiency
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable contracts and maintain strong relationships
  • Oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying needs to receiving goods and services, ensuring timely and accurate execution
  • Leverage market intelligence while analyzing market trends, negotiating prices, and implementing cost-saving measures to achieve optimal procurement costs
  • Manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions and resolving disputes
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, fostering strong relationships and collaboration
  • Mentor procurement staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preferred in technology categories
  • Experience in Financial Service, Mortgage Banking or Mortgage Insurance preferred
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management Preferred
