Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of directly related experience
- Valid and unrestricted Arizona Class D Driver License – Arizona Department of Transportation – Motor Vehicle Division
Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, engines, and compressors.
- Drives to various locations and conducts daily inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, such as water quality, temperature, and operational standards.
- Responds to emergency situations involving equipment malfunctions at pool or splash pad locations.
- Purchases supplies and provides input on procurement contracts related to work, tools, and equipment needed to perform duties.
- Participates in annual cost projections for inventory under their purview.
- Communicates complex repair and replacement issues to leadership, providing a clear understanding of the scope and impact of equipment conditions in pool equipment rooms.
- Trains and provides guidance on maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring timely and effective completion of work assignments.
- Delegates tasks and monitors performance across multiple locations.
- Maintains an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment appropriate for the number of locations supported.
- Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of related mechanical experience.
- Specialized training in mechanics, maintenance management, or a closely related field.
- Experience working in aquatic environments, such as pools, splash pads, or other water features.
- Familiarity with pool systems and related aquatic equipment.
- Electrical knowledge of systems ranging from 110v to 480v.
