Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, economics or related field
- SAP proficiency required
- Seven years of experience in project management, finance, and related subject matter
- Excel skills required
- Strong quantitative skills with ability to produce spreadsheets, data base queries, and other such analytical tools
- Be able to contribute to the advancement of project management in the organization
- Must be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
- Strong written and verbal skills required.
Responsibilities
- Leads assigned projects with indirect supervision and strong initiative
- Provide SAP support to project teams by preparing purchase requests and purchase orders, processing invoices, creating work orders, setting up WBS, requesting controlling orders, completing accruals, CIAC processing, TECO, unitization.
- Provide iBuy subject matter expertise and support PMs including creating bids, tracking approvals, and closing tenders.
- Responsible for team’s performance of Internal Avangrid Controls and SOX compliance.
- Develop and deploy training material/programs to improve efficiencies within the organization.
- Produce reports and coordinates document review.
- Coordinates with vendors and project team for purchasing needs, tracks and reports monthly.
- Identifies process issues and works closely with project management process and standards to identify possible improvements.
- Identifies and assists in competency development opportunities
- Develops innovative solutions to project management and project controls using new or enhanced tools (i.e. Primavera, excel, SAP)
- Communicates effectively to project teams and senior management on problems or needs. May be required to present information regarding ideas and anticipates objections to gain understanding on correct course of action.
- Builds rapport, actively listens, sharing, understand, and makes connections to facilitate information sharing and approachability. Being approachable means putting others at ease so they can succeed.
- Anticipates project manager and stakeholder needs, assesses requirements, and identifies new solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree, certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), holder of Master’s Certificate in Project Management, or the like preferred.
