Requirements
- Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Must have familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
- Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
- Flexibility to work overtime on short notice.
- DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required)
Responsibilities
- Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.
- Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege: and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
- Assist with case organization and maintenance; plays integral role in preparing team for witness interviews, discovery and trials.
- Provide in-courtroom assistance, exhibit collection and review, and legal research as needed based on trial demands.
- Utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document review, communicating detailed summaries and analyses of findings.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel and others as needed.
- Research and compile data from a variety of references sources, preparing substantive indices upon request, summarize articles, reports, witness statements.
- Work multiple cases simultaneously and multi-task with minimal supervision.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly. *Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on-site with government clients.
- eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks similar to the duties and responsibilities described.
- Proficiency with Relativity eDiscovery software.
