Requirements
- B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related science
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or Certified Histology Technician License from New York Education Department
- Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Histotechnologist
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, personnel, technical and clerical activities to ensure operation of the Histology Laboratory
- Initiate new procedures as well as study, refine and modify established methods and techniques
- Serve as a resource to the Leadership Team
- Address complaints regarding laboratory functions and work with the Leadership team as well as the staff to resolve identified problems
- Provide direction, supervision and working support on the benches to Lead Histotechnologist, Histotechnologists and support staff
